Owner & Founder
Artist and local business proprietress, Shelley Garries, founded Gallery n.204 in 2015. In creating the gallery Shelley hopes to share her passion for art with the community, as well as create an engaging studio space that brings inspiration and meaning.
As an artist, art educator and art historian, (B.A., B.Ed., M.A.), Diana Jensen Vestergaard enjoys both the theory and the practice of art. She teaches creative classes at the gallery, as well as helps with day-to-day management.
Curator & Sales
Carmel Clare brings to the gallery many years of experience, as an artist, and art instructor. Carmel's history as an exhibiting artist gives her a flair for curating and presentation. She enjoys talking with gallery visitors and hearing how they relate to the art on the walls. Carmel's love of art is always present and you can often find her demoing painting techniques in the gallery.
Art Consultation & Interior Design
Art has the power to define your space. And whether you are looking for art to make a statement or to establish a mood, experienced artist and interior designer Katina Giesbrecht can help. Katina will assist you in selecting art for your home that reflects your style while staying within your budget. Her artistic eye and warm personality will make art selection an enjoyable and enriching experience. To complete the process Katina will assist you with hanging the art and before you know it your space will be transformed in the way you imagined it to be.
Katina is an artist and interior designer from the Lower Mainland of BC. She has a Bachelor’s of Applied Design in Interior Design.
With a Bachelor in Fine Art, Tessa Lee brings expressive and exciting ideas to the gallery classroom. Tessa enjoys working with children and she strives to present fun and captivating projects.
Life Drawing Coordinator
Michele Miguel's training is in art and illustration. She has a passion for drawing, and organises and facilitates our Life Drawing sessions at the gallery every second Saturday. This program runs from September through to June.
